Singer DLS 911 Painting

If you’re as much as a Porsche 911 enthusiast as I am, then the name Singer would probably be most familiar to you.

Based out of California, Singer Vehicle Design works with enthusiasts who want to create their ultimate bespoke 911. Using a base of a 964 (1989-1994), Singer deconstructs and then rebuilds these 964’s into true works of art.

Back in 2018, Singer collaborated with Williams to create a truly unique 911 they called the Dynamics and Lightweighting Study, or DLS for short. Here’s a clip from the press release in summer 2018:

GROVE, United Kingdom July 12, 2018 – The results of California-based boutique restoration house Singer Vehicle Design’s Dynamic and Lightweighting Study (DLS) will be shown at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed, July 12-15, in West Sussex, England. DLS is a client-inspired collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering and a formation of technical partners in pursuit of the most advanced air-cooled Porsche 911 in the world. The unique and highly anticipated results will be part of both a static showcase outside Goodwood House and the Michelin Supercar Paddock Hillclimb Run.

There were so many beautiful angles of this car to paint and I settled on a top-down image found throughout the internet. I opted to leave the background and shadow solid colors rather than try and recreate the gravel surface of the original reference image. Plus I believe the solid background colors give the painting a bit more contrast.

If you’re interested in a print of this painting, I’m offering a limited run of 50 signed prints in my shop. The prints are 13”x19” (33cmx48cm) and are printed on archival grade, 60lb, 229gsm Polar Matte paper by Red River Paper using Canon ChromaLife 100+ inks.
